Eye Doctors of Washington
Eye Clinic
About the store
When you think of point-of-sale, your mind is most likely directed to a small retail clothing store or a corner shop cafe. Eye Doctors of Washington, is much, much more. As the leading medical ophthalmology practice in the area, Eye Doctors of Washington has not one, not two, not three, but four locations in the Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and Maryland areas, all offering specialized treatments including: cataracts, glaucoma, cornea, pediatrics, Lasik eye surgery and other vision correction procedures. Owner Roberto Conte will tell you that Eye Doctors Of Washington “is changing the way you see the world” and we tend to agree! Eye Doctors of Washington is definitely there to help with all your eye care needs. Hiring only top doctors that are board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Did we mention that EDOW are also the go-to eye doctors for the Washington Capitals, D.C. United, and the Washington Wizards? How cool is that?!
How Pose has helped us
When searching for a point-of-sale system, Roberto was initially shocked at the high monthly fees. Being that he needed several accounts and many additional cash registers, he was looking at over $1,500 per month in point-of-sale fees alone. That’s when he started researching alternatives. However, unlike other retailers who found Pose using Google, Roberto was referred to Pose by his Authorize.net account representative who was familiar with Pose and knew that not only would Pose offer Roberto an excellent POS system at a better price, but that Pose also had all the features he needed for his shops, along with the customer support to keep his business, and sanity, running smoothly.
A customizable POS
“For over 50 years, our practice has focused on the core values of academically oriented care, keeping abreast of the latest advancements in the field of ophthalmology, and providing an efficient yet comfortable environment for our patients,” said Roberto. “Pose helps us to maintain an accurate inventory of our products and collect patient payments through a very user friendly system. We are also able to pull reports from the management portal. Their customer support staff is always attentive and helpful.”
Roberto went on to say, “there are not very many POS solutions that are as customizable as Pose and can meet the needs of a multi specialty medical practice that is focused on both routine medical eye care, cosmetic eye care and retail sales. Pose allows us the flexibility to cater to all of our needs.”
Detailed sales reports
With so many stores and so many additional cash registers, it’s pretty clear what Roberto’s favorite Pose features is: “The reports”, he said. Pose reports can be broken down by account and by register. This makes it easy for Eye Doctors of Washington to keep detailed records of each and every sale, including the employee who rang up the sale, the customer attached, and specifically the register that transacted the sale.
Another feature that Roberto loves are the detailed customer reports. Unlike traditional retail shops, EDOW requires very detailed information on their customers because they are also their patients. The loyalty features are also great as well. Rewarding patients with discounts and incentives keeps them coming back for other services and also retail shop products such as eyeglasses. Speaking of eyeglasses, EDOW is on a mission to collect 10,000 pairs to donate to those in need.
