What is an EMV and is Pose EMV compliant?
An EMV (“Chip and Pin”) reader has now become the new norm, not only internationally, but in the USA as well. You would obtain an EMV reader directly from your merchant services provider (not from Pose). In Pose, you would select “External Terminal” as your payment provider. There is no integration required, therefore Pose is not obligated to be EMV compliant. Due to their high security and low fraud risk, we recommend everyone use a “Chip and Pin” reader to avoid fraudulent chargebacks.
